Application Process
We are currently accepting applications for the 2026-2027 academic year (start date of July 1, 2026).
Eligibility
Our two to three year program offers several clinical and research postdoctoral fellowship opportunities for those with a doctoral degree in medicine (MD) and a research postdoctoral fellowship track for those with PhDs or other applicable doctoral degrees.
To be eligible for our program, MDs must:
- have completed an ACGME-accredited residency in the United States
- receive passing scores on USMLE Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3 exams
- be board certified or board eligible in internal medicine
Due to training grant restrictions, the program primarily recruits citizens and permanent residents of the U.S.; however, other applicants may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Please send an inquiry to Julie Kurtz (jkurtz10@jhmi.edu), GIM Medical Training Program Administrator, if you would like to discuss your candidacy.
